Augusta Country Club - Annual Stockholders Meeting - January 10, 2012 - Minutes

 

Call to order -President Rusty Patterson - Present - Pat Brown, Jay Lewis, Matt Malone, Bob Brewer, Dave Horenkamp, Kim Brown, Bill Kincaid, Doug Thurman, Todd Gilmore, Mike Schwemmer, Luella Zorn, Jill Keezer, Len Hudson, Joe Montgomery There were 25 proxies held as follows: Len Hudson 5, Glen Barnum 1, Bobby Lytton 6 and Rusty Patterson 13.

 

Approval of Minutes of 2011 Meeting -   Jay moved to approve the 2011 minutes.  Kim Seconded.  Passed.

 

Approval of 2011 Financials - Luella reported income was down $20,000 for the year, Drought fundraiser raised $10,000, Expenses were down $2,000, with $21,000 of depreciation the club lost $9,000 and will have no taxable income, Still solvent at the end of 2011 with $15,000 in the bank, all bills and property taxes are paid for 2011, all equipment is paid for, only liability is the loan on the water project, cash on hand is down $5,800, gas and oil expense is up $3,000, water expense is up $11,000 and electric is down $1,500.We reported some miscellaneous income that was from sale of golf carts, member guest and some non-categorized income.  Green fees were down $14,000. 

 

President's Report on 2011 Activities - Rusty Patterson - Attached -

 

Election of Board Members - 3 terms expiring 2012 -Rusty Patterson, Joe Montgomery and Glen Barnum. - Doug Thurman, Rusty Patterson, Glen Barnum and Pat Brown were nominated.  Thurman, Patterson and Brown were elected.

 

Other Business - Stockholders input and questions - Mike Schwemmer suggested looking at the bridge on #9.  He said it was sagging and might m=need to be propped up.

 

Matt Malone suggested that we keep #8 as full as possible during the winter to avoid the utility overage charge.
